Groundbreaking takes you through two important areas of Blue Gate and asks you to connect information from one location to another. In ARC Raiders, the quest starts with a locked communications room at Pilgrim's Peak and ends with a photograph at an abandoned housing project. Bringing useful ARC Raiders Items can make any raid more comfortable, but players do not need an elaborate setup to complete this particular mission. The most important part is understanding the route and keeping Apollo's key secure.

Put the Key in a Safe Pocket

When Apollo gives you the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key, check your inventory before deploying. If your augment supports Safe Pocket storage, place the key there.

The reason is simple: if you die while the key is outside protected storage, you may lose access to the item. This can turn a short investigation into an unnecessary extra search.

If you have already lost the key, there may be another option. Visit Pilgrim's Peak and check behind the reception desk on the ground floor. A spare key can sometimes be found there. It is also possible that another Raider has already opened the required room.

Find the Tower in Blue Gate

Pilgrim's Peak is located in the far northeastern portion of Blue Gate. The large tower is a useful landmark and should help you orient yourself once you are close.

Enter the building underneath the tower from the south side. Inside, move through the hallway and look for the locked Communications Tower room.

You do not need to search every floor or room. The quest focuses on this specific communications room, so keeping your movement direct can save time and reduce unnecessary encounters.

Read the Whiteboard Clue

Unlock the door with the key and enter the room. Look into the corners for a whiteboard showing drawings of buildings.

Interact with the whiteboard to collect the construction research. This action updates the quest and gives you the clue needed to find the next location.

The drawings are important because the housing project contains several unfinished structures. Remembering the general shape shown on the board can help you recognize the intended building when you arrive.

Travel Toward the Abandoned Housing Project

After leaving Pilgrim's Peak, travel south or southwest. The next destination is the Abandoned Housing Project point of interest.

Once you arrive, look for the unfinished structure that corresponds to the construction drawing. It is generally the southernmost building in the housing complex.

Do not assume that simply approaching the building will complete the objective. The game requires you to reach a particular vantage point before the photograph interaction becomes available.

Take the Required Photo

Search around the target building for a ledge or designated viewing area. The correct spot should have an interaction circle on the ground.

Step into the circle and interact with it to capture the photograph. After the photo is successfully taken, the Groundbreaking quest should immediately show as complete.

There is no additional item that needs to be delivered afterward, and the photograph does not have to be extracted from Blue Gate.

Decide Whether Loot Is Worth the Trip

The quest itself does not require extraction, so your next decision depends on what you have collected during the raid. If your inventory contains valuable materials, using an extraction point such as the warehouse airshaft can allow you to keep them.

On the other hand, if your main goal was completing Groundbreaking, there is no reason to extend the raid solely because you think extraction is part of the quest. The mission has already been completed once the photograph registers.

Collect the Quest Rewards

When you return, speak with Shani to receive the rewards. Groundbreaking provides a Warden outfit color variation and a Power Rod.

Because the mission combines exploration with a small investigation, it can also be a useful opportunity to learn the layout around Pilgrim's Peak and the abandoned housing area.

Plan Your Next Blue Gate Run

Players who want to prepare for additional missions can buy cheap ARC Raiders Items when they need to fill gaps in their inventory without building an unnecessarily complicated loadout. For Groundbreaking, route knowledge and key protection matter more than carrying the most valuable equipment. Remember the complete sequence: secure the key, reach Pilgrim's Peak, inspect the whiteboard, travel to the abandoned housing project, find the correct southern structure, and take the photograph. Once that final interaction succeeds, the quest is finished.
